Abstract

1500295 Pin-cushion correction circuits INDESIT INDUSTRIAL ELETTRODOMESTICI ITALIANA SpA 11 Sept 1975 [27 Sept 1974] 37445/75 Heading H4T A circuit providing pin-cushion-corrected vertical deflection signals to the coils 11, 12 of a wideangle C.R.T. includes a generator 1 providing a vertical frequency sawtooth signal in response to vertical sync. pulses, and a modulation circuit for producing a low-level distortion-correction signal, both the sawtooth and the correction signals being fed to the coils via a common power amplifier 2. In the embodiment shown the signal at one end of the deflection coils is passed to low pass filter 17, 18, which has a cut-off below line frequency. This passes the sawtooth to modulator 19 where it is modulated by line frequency pulses H to provide the "butterfly" correction signal passed to amplifier 2. Inductor 9 and capacitor 10 form a circuit resonant at line frequency to increase the correction voltage across the coils. Amplifier 2 is associated with two feedback loops, one (6, 7, 8) having an untuned response and the other having a low pass filter 14-16 which has a cut-off below line frequency.
