1512420 Trans - 2,2 - dimethyl - 3 - (2,2,2- trichloroethyl)cyclopropane - 1 - carboxylates SANKYO CO Ltd 23 Oct 1975 [23 Oct 1974] 28216/76 Divided out of 1512419 Heading C2C Novel trans - 2,2 - dimethyl - 3 - (2,2,2- trichloroethyl) cyclopropane-1-carboxylates of general formula wherein R is H or alkyl, are prepared by reacting a compound of general formula with a base at 0-50‹ C. In the examples the free acid and the ethyl ester are prepared. Trans - 2,2 - dimethyl - 3(2,2 - dichlorovinyl)- cyclopropane - 1 - carboxylates of general formula where R=H or alkyl are obtained from compounds of Formula I by reaction with a base or a Lewis acid.
