1533938 Easels A MONNERET 24 Jan 1977 [29 Jan 1976] 02729/77 Heading A4H An easel comprises a board 2 supported on two tubular metal units each of which comprises two legs 3 joined by a yoke 4, a leg 3 of each unit being clamped to board 2 by a clamp jaw 5 that grips said leg 3 and is connected to board 2 by a screw 6 and nut 7 and by a clamp cradle member 8 having a recess 9 to receive said leg 3 and edges 11 that engage in grooves 12 in board 2 when nuts 7 are loosened, the board 2 can be slid along legs 3 to adjust its height, and the units can each be folded about the axis of the clampable leg against the rear face of the board and be further pivoted about the axis of screw 6. Alternatively, the yokes 4 may be clamped to board 2 to provide a table.
