Pendulum-weight apparatus; indicating-mechanism. -In weighing-apparatus in which the reading is enlarged by optical means, a part or parts of the optical means, such as the lens 5, is mounted so as to be movable under gravity relatively to the stationary parts of the apparatus inaccuracies due to a variation in level of the apparatus thus being minimized. The lens 5 may be suspended from the point of suspension b of the pendulum 2, or from a point f which may be adjustable. The reading of the scale 3, which is illuminated by a lamp 4 is projected on to a screen 6, an indicating-pointer 7 being provided.
