Ventilating passages, arrangements of.-A flue pipe for geysers is constructed so as to prevent back-draught in the flue a from affecting the burner and also to promote up-draught by forming it with an apertured enlargement b which surrounds a truncated conical pipe c having one or more series of apertures c<1> in its upper part through which the hot gases entering the lower part of pipe c are adapted to pass. Fresh air may be admitted to the bathroom either by surrounding the flue a by an outer pipe or casing e, apertured at f, or by dividing the flue above the enlargement b by a partition so as to separate a portion of the flue for the passage of air.
