Lined boxes; lids.- A box for tobacco, biscuits, &c. is rendered air tight by providing at its upper edge a metal rim 6 with a circumferential groove 8 in which engages an elastic ring 15 mounted in a groove in the lid. A metal or other lining 9 may be provided, an air space being formed between the lining and the body of the box.
