Blast apparatus.-Air is delivered over a furnace grate by an injector comprising a three-way connection 1 having a branch 2 for the supply of steam a branch 3 carrying an adjustable internally coned member 6 and tube 7 for the supply of air and a branch 4 carrying a tube 9 communicating with the branch pipes 13, 14 and delivery nozzles 15, 16. The supply of steam is regulated by adjusting the position of the face 11 of the cone 6 with respect to the face 10 of the tube 9. A nut 8 serves to lock the cone 6 in position.
