R÷ntgen-ray apparatus.-A diaphragm for intercepting secondary radiation from a body to be radiographed comprises a thin' screen of leadrubber fabric or other impermeable material having apertures 4, Fig. 2, the intervening opaque strips 8 being large in comparison with the thickness of the screen. In the band shown, the width of the apertures 4 is the same as that of the intervening strips 8. In an alternative construction, two superposed bands slotted across their width and arranged at right angles may be used. The screen b, Fig. 1, may be in the form of an endless band wound round rollers 1, 2, and kept in movement between the body and the plate or film 7.
