Cooling lubricant. - The lubricating-oil of an internal - combustion engine for a motor-car &c. is cooled by air drawn into the tank 28 through a submerged pipe 1 by the engine suction at the carburettor 5 or by the exhaust or both or by the suction of the supercharger. The tank 28 is connected by pipes 30, 31 to the engine sump 29 and to the carburettor by the pipe 4.
