Abstract

342,893. Ellipsographs. NAVASCUES, A. G., Alava, Murguia, Spain. Jan. 31, 1930, No. 3417. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Feb. 1, 1930.] [Class 97 (iii).] A device for drawing conic sections and similar curves, comprises two graduated rules provided with toothed racks, and a slide carrying pinions which unites the two rules. In the form shown, the rules 2, 11 are united by a slide 4 bearing pinions 7, 6 having axial openings to receive a pencil, chalk or the like. A third slide 3 at rightangles to the rule 11 is provided for use as a directrix when drawing parabolas. The slide 4 is provided with a gauge for indicating the travel of the tracing point.
