[Class 97 (i).] Continuous-feed apparatus provided with optical compensating means of the rotating prism type is characterized in that the prism is arranged between two objectives, of which the first produces a real image of the film picture in front of the second, which projects this image on to the screen. As shown, on a casting 2 is mounted a prism 3, on each plane surface of which is a stripe covering 3<1>. In a rear tubular extension 4 of the casting 2 is mounted a slidable objective 6 and the image window 7. A front tubular extension 5 carries a sleeve 8 slidably mounted in which is the objective 9, and a picture vignette 10 and collecting lens 11. A film gate 12 provided with a sprocket 13 is secured by screws 121, 12<11> to a segment 14 pivoted on the axle of prism 3, on which axle is secured a gear 15, connected by intermediate gears 17, 18 to a gear 16 mounted on segment 14. The axle of sprocket 13 has a driving pin 131 engaging in the axle of gear 16. On the side wall 1 are mounted a lamp holder 19 carrying the projecting lamp 20, a condenser 21, and a concave mirror 22. A motor 23 drives through reduction gearing 24 prism 3 and sprocket 13. From the axle of prism 3 the take-up and unwinding spools 25, 26 are driven through couplings 27, 28 by resilient wire cables. By means of the slide 31 provided with wedges 29, 30 either the take-up or unwinding spools 25, 26 can be driven, the slide 31 simultaneously operating a pole changer 33 of the motor 23. The film gate and sprocket may be replaced by another assembly of different dimensions. The stripe covering 3<1> on the prism may comprise bands of indian ink or paper, or fine grooves made black.
