401,275. Clamps. WESTWATER, S., 7, Belhaven Terrace, Glasgow. May 4, 1932, No. 12851. [Class 44.] A clamp for holding an umbrella, shaft 10 comprises sliding jaws 9<a>, 9<b> pivoted on a bolt 12 and tightened by a wing nut 13. A spring 14 on the bolt causes frictional engagement between the jaw 9<a> and an extension 14<a> of the bracket member 11. A pin 15 on one jaw engages a slot or hole in the other jaw to maintain the jaws parallel.
