404,355. Producing distorted photographs. FORD, G. W., 49, Cragnair Avenue, Patcham, Brighton. July 15, 1932, No. 20056. Drawings to Specification. [Class 98 (ii).] In a process of producing distorted photographs in which a distorted image of a person appears in normal surroundings, the person is photographed through a distorting lens system against a background which is distorted in such a manner that the image thereof produced by the distorting lens system is undistorted. The background may be composed of actual objects on a distorted scale e.g. of twice the normal vertical height or a painted background may be used. Alternatively, the background may be projected from a distorted film or slide or from a normal film or slide, a distorting system being associated with the projection lens. The process may be applied to still or motion pictures.
