Abstract
428,432. Medical inhalers. WEGEL, K., 25, Maberzellerstrasse, Fulda, Germany. Nov. 27, 1934, No. 34022. [Class 81 (ii)] An appliance for inhaling liquid medicament insertable into the stopper of a bottle 9 comprises concentric tubes 1, 3 closed at their lower ends and formed at their upper ends into a bulbous nozzle 2, the tube 3 having an aperture 4 and the tube 1 having air-inlet apertures 8 and an aperture 5 projecting laterally to trap a definite quantity of liquid on tilting the bottle. Air sucked in passes in part direct to the nozzle and in part is bubbled through, and vaporizes, the trapped liquid. The tubes may be extended beyond the bulbous portion 2 and may be inclined and terminally tapered to form a nozzle insertable into the pharyngeal cavity. The outer tube so extended may be flattened at two opposite points to facilitate holding.
