Abstract

An adhesive for multiply fabrics comprises a blend of at least two polyvinyl resins such as to soften at pressing temperatures, retain adhesion at and below the boiling point of water and remain substantially unaffected in colour when subjected to repeated laundering. In examples, polyvinyl acetate sold under the Registered Trade Mark "Vinylite A" is blended with polystyrol or with the interpolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate sold under the Registered Trade Mark "Vinylite H" and, if desired, a small proportion of calcium stearate.
