[Classes 97 (i) and 98 (ii)] An objective for use in colour photography or projection with lenticular films is divided longitudinally into chambers through which the image - forming rays can pass unhindered while the scattered rays are intercepted. Fig. 2 shows a projection objective consisting of two separated components, this objective being divided into chambers by screens 8, 9, 10. Scattered rays can be more efficiently intercepted by making the objective mounting of greater diameter than is necessary to accommodate the lenses, as shown in Fig. 3. The apertures in the screens may be circular or angular. The objective can be used when the illuminating cone of rays has so large an angle that a field lens between the source of light and the film can be dispensed with.
