Abstract

496,320. Spray cleaning apparatus ; injectors. CLAYTON MANUFACTURING CO. Oct. 15, 1937, No. 28132. Convention date, Oct. 26, 1936. [Class 138 (i)] [Also in Group XXVIII] Apparatus for producing a spray of detergent material comprises a receptacle for the detergent and an injector operated by steam, the steam passing through a separator before reaching the injector ; means are provided for adding an additional or alternative material. The steam supply 31, Fig. 1, is connected to a tube 32, Fig. 3, in a chamber 20, the dry steam passing through a connection 50 at the top of the chamber to the injector 44 to which detergent is supplied by a suction pipe 58. The detergent and steam pass along a pipe 4S to a pipe 40 in which it is mixed with wet steam and separated water from the bottom of the chamber 20. An auxiliary detergent can be supplied by a funnel 63 after opening a valve 62, and acid for cleaning the injector introduced by means of a cup which replaces the detergent pipe 58.
