[Class 64 (iii)] The exchanger is formed of pressed shcetmetal plates having staggeredly arranged grooves for the usual packing strips c. In a modification, alternate plates are formed with additional grooves d, Fig. 2, to accommodate the grooves of the adjacent plates and permit of the strips being supported throughout the whole of their depth.
