Abstract

508,873. Boxes. TRIGGS, W. W. (Kunstanstalt Etzold & Kiessling Akt.-Ges.). Jan. 25, 1938, No. 2367. [Class 18] A cap lid for a box is folded from a blank comprising a centre panel i., Fig. 3, and flanges formed of outer, inwardly-sloping walls k, p and inner vertical walls n, q, the latter carrying flaps o, r which lie against the panel i but point towards the outer walls. Hooked reinforcing flaps s interengage between the walls k, n, and the walls w, q are connected by tongues m and slots t. To give the lid a domed appearance, a sheet of cardboard with a layer of padding is inserted between the flaps o, r and panel i. The body part of the box is folded from a blank comprising a centre panel a, Fig. 1, to which a projecting baseboard b is attached, sides c, f on to the inner faces of which flaps d, g are doubled, and flaps e which lie against and support the panel a. Tabs h on the sides f are folded to lie between the sides c and flaps d.
