517,816. Indiarubber compositions ; adhesives. PORRITT, B. D., and SCOTT, J. R. Aug. 3, 1938, No. 22926. [Class 70] [Also in Group III] A composition for use as an adhesive particularly for plywood consists of lac in the form of shellac, bleached lac, dewaxed lac &c, and vulcanized or unvulcanized indiarubber or synthetic rubber like material, the lac constituting at least 40 per cent. Solvents or aqueous dispersion media may be used. Vulcanizing agents, accelerators, fillers, pigments, antioxidants, and materials for hardening the lac such as urea thiourea, hexamethylene tetramine and ammonium salts may be added.
