Abstract
526,121. Wireless signaling ; aerials. MONGE, G. DE. March 8, 1939, No. 7550. Convention date, Nov. 21, 1938. [Class 40 (v)] To eliminate local interference the lower part of an aerial is enclosed in a screening tube which is connected to the opposite end of the input transformer to that to which the aerial is connected, the mid point of the transformer being earthed. Alternatively a compensating aerial having a " collecting surface at least one and a half times that of the main aerial is connected to the input circuit in known manner to neutralize static interference. Or, as shown, the aerial 1 may be connected to the grid 3 of the input valve 2, and the screening tube 6 to the cathode, the two electrodes being shunted by resistances 4, 5 in which local disturbances are balanced out.
