Abstract
532,280. Display cartons. DARTON GIBBS & CO., Ltd., R., and STEVENSON, B. Aug. 24, 1939, No. 24347. [Class 18] [Also in Group XVIII] The body of a display carton of the type in which the front and end walls are divided to form two sections foldable about a crease 3, Fig. 6, to form upper and lower supporting tiers A, B for displaying the contents, is formed from two blanks. That shown in Fig. 1 constitutes the upper and part of the lower section and comprises the back wall 2, 4 part of the front wall 5, and parts 6a, 7a of the end walls, while that shown in Fig. 2 constitutes the remaining part of the front wall, and parts 6b, 7b of the end walls. A piece of cardboard 13, Fig. 4, is fixed below the crease 3 on the outside of the back, and has flaps 14 cut therefrom which may .be turned outwardly to form struts, cut-away portions 15 receiving the upper section of the box. Tongues 17 may be opened out to hold the struts in acting position.
