Abstract

534,177. Electric battery lamps. PEARSON, S. F. Jan. 10, 1940, No. 515. [Class 39 (ii)] Two cells 1 are fitted in a metal casing 3 by means of an insulated stand 8 bridging terminals at one end of the cells and a bridge piece 9 which connects the other terminals in circuit, and is insulated from and resiliently mounted in the casing. The stand 8 may be resiliently held and the insulation and resilient mounting of both members 8 and 9 may be effected by short pieces of rubber tubing 7 fixed on but projecting from the ends. A tongue 5 projecting from the stand 8 contacts with the lamp 6 and the switch 10 may contact with the bridge 9. The arrangement of the bridge piece in two insulated parts whereby a series connection of the cells is obtained is described with reference to Figs. 6 - 13 (not shown).
