543,078. Window frames. CONSTANT SPEED AIRSCREWS, Ltd., McGLASSON R., and MARSHALL, F. G. Nov. 7, 1940, No. 16229. [Class 20 (iii)] To enable a window to be easily removed from its aperture and to be air-tight when replaced, the inner edge c<SP>1</SP> of the window frame c, which is composed of metal strips between which the pane d is held, has a number of bushed holes e which engage pins b on the inwardly directed flange a<SP>1</SP> of an edging a, movement of a locking strip f causing engagement of the frame and edging. The locking strip f is provided with keyhole slots f<SP>1</SP> corresponding with the pins, and with a series of parallel slots g, engaging studs h fixed to the inner edge c<SP>1</SP> of the window frame. By moving the locking strip in an end-wise direction after the window has been placed in position with the pins b protruding through the bushed holes e, the window and its frame is securely fastened, a pivoted handle l and slotted arm l<SP>1</SP> being provided for the purpose. To obtain an air-tight joint, the locking member may be formed with inclined surfaces whereby the edges of the window are forced into close contact with the fixed frame as described in Specification 542,051
