Abstract
546,010. Holders for lantern slides. KODAK, Ltd. (Eastman Kodak Co.). Nov. 26, 1941, No. 15235. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, May 27. 1942.1 [Classes 97 (i) and 98 (ii)] A multiple lantern-slide holder comprises a thin springy plate 1 having a plurality of framing apertures 2 separated by ribs 3, upper and lower grooves formed by flanges 10, 9 bent from the plate, and end reinforcements formed by flanges 12, 13 bent from the plate. Longitudinal embossings 7 and bent edges 8 of the flanges 9 engage opposite faces of the slides ; transverse embossings 25 may also engage the slides, and may co-operate with a spring detent in the projector to centre the slide being projected. The ribs 3 are strengthened by embossings 5, 6 and the embossings 5 assist in locating the edges of the slides. The flanges 13 may be bent into embossings 15, and may permit the insertion of slides into the holder, the holder being temporarily bent so that the slide may be passed under the ends 17 of the flanges 9; the ends 17 are spaced from the flanges 13 and are bent outwards to form lips. Each slide may comprise a film mounted between apertured cardboard frames C, Fig. 7, secured together by adhesive.
