Abstract
549,566. Dish-washing machines. ABBEY, A. (Bolinder's Fabriks Aktiebolag). Oct. 28, 1941, No. 13890. [Class 138 (i)] In a dish-washing machine of the kind described in Specification 515,322, the locking device for maintaining the dish support in its raised position is pivotally connected with the link mechanism between the lid and the support, so that springs can be dispensed with. Each of the links 34 described in the prior Specification is pivoted to a. locking arm 44 pivoted at 46 to the sliding support and provided with a stop member 54 having an inclined face 64 adapted to co-operate with the guide rail 32. As the lid is opened the pull of the links 34 raise the dish support, the stops sliding against the guide rails until they can swing over their tops. The stops are prevented swinging too far by engagement with stops 56 on the support. When the lid is required to be shut, the initial thrust of the links 34 swings the stop members against stops 58, and allows the support to descend. To allow the support to be changed, the upper ends of the links 34 carry buttons 60 which can be removed from the lid when this is wide open, the end 62 of the slot in the brackets 40 being formed to allow of this detachment. A perpendicular from the contacting faces of the stop 54 and rail passes through the pivot 46.
