Abstract
549,567. High frequency current transformers. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Oct. 29, 1941, No. 13909. Convention date, Oct. 31, 1940. [Class 38 (ii)] A high frequency current transformer comprises an annular core 18 carrying a distributed secondary winding 21 supported and substantially enclosed by an electrostatic shield 31 extending through the structure and along both sides thereof, the outer edges being engaged by grooves 32 in the walls of an insulating housing, the side walls 14, 15 of which have holes 33, 34 through which the primary conductor 35 is passed. The secondary terminals 25 are bridged by a film cut-out of known type which breaks down to short circuit the secondary under excess voltage. Specification 488,120 is referred to.
