[Class 135] A valve seat, particularly for a. valve subjected to high temperatures, comprises a seat ring a which is screwed into a ring b of non- corrodible material and of approximately the same coefficient of expansion. The ring b is secured in position in a recess c by a key ring e, Rotation of the ring b is prevented by pins h engaging in clearance holes in the ring. The keep ring e may be finally secured by welding as at e<1>.
