Abstract

606,371. Converting. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd. Jan. 14, 1946, No. 1185. Convention date, May 8, 1943. [Class 38 (ii)] In a circuit for deriving a high voltage power supply, having an intermediate point at a fixed potential, from the pulse generated by a valve supplying beam deflection current to a cathode-ray tube, a diode, shunted by a resistor with tapping at the fixed potential, is fed with the pulses, the cathode of the diode being connected to the fixed potential by a capacitor. The pulses appearing at the anode of valve 15 are fed over blocking capacitor 31 to the diode 37, the cathode of which is held at earth potential to A.C. by capacitor 43. The anode of diode 37 is connected over resistor capacitor filter 47, 45 to a load resistor 49, a variable tapping 51 fixing the negative and positive potentials, relative to earth, available at the ends of resistor 49.
