621,815. Dry shavers. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN. Oct. 22, 1946, No. 31376. Convention date, Feb. 5, 1943. [Class 131] A cutter head for a dry shaver comprises a cutting or guard plate and a cutting member one or both of which are caused to oscillate, the guard plate being centrally and peripherally supported. As shown the cutting plate 9 is supported at its rim and also centrally by a support 16 which, together with the cutting plate, is clamped to the casing 23 by a nut 22, the cutting plate 9 being secured to the support 16 by a screw 17. The cutting member 10 is driven by the oscillations of a lever 13 pivoted at 14 at one end to the support 16 the other end 12 of which passes through a slot in the support 16 to engage the cutting member 10 by means of an aperture 11 therein. The lever is driven from the drive shaft 20 which is provided with an eccentric pin 21 engaging a slot 19 in the lever 13. A tensioning spring 24 is provided for the cutting member 10.
