625,051. Moulding coverings on cables, strips, &c. BRITISH INSULATED CALLENDER'S CABLES, Ltd., and KRETSCHMER, J. M., [Representative of KRETSCHMER, H. E.]. Sept. 10, 1946, No. 27201. [Class 87 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXVI] An insulating covering for a wire consists of weftless tapes in which a number of glass threads run parallel to the longitudinal axis of the tapes and are held together by being embedded in a plastic silicone material, the tapes being applied to the wire by the longitudinal method. The wires to be covered are laid between two tapes of the type described and passed between the rolls 1, 2 of a covering machine, each wire passing through an aperture 4. The wires emerge covered with a thin layer of the composition and joined together by a readily separable web. The covering may be finally cured and the wires separated by removing the web. ,
