Abstract
643,472. Guillotine cutting-machines. NICOLLE, C. June 27, 1947, No. 17039. Convention date, June 3, 1946. [Class 31 (i)] [Also in Group XVII] A severing device for subdividing tablet packets A in sheet form, into separate units comprising a predetermined number of tablets (see Group XVII), comprises an upper fixed plate Q1, and a lower movable plate Q2. Cutter blades 42 are mounted with limited freedom of movement in the plate Q2, and the plate Q 1 carries complementary fixed blades 43. Members 44 are resiliently mounted as shown in the plate Q 1 so as to engage and urge respective blades 42 into engagement with the corresponding blades 43. This movement is limited by laterally disposed stops 45, 46. The tablets are contained in recesses B of the packet A which is engaged by a pressure member 41, resiliently mounted as shown. In operation, the plate Q2 is moved upwardly into engagement with the plate Q1 by cam mechanism (not shown) actuated by a treadle or by a mechanical control member.
