Abstract

669,893. Suction cleaners. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. May 27, 1948 [May 27, 1947], No. 14365/48. Class 8 (i) A tank type suction cleaner is constructed so as to be completely portable in a single container, the suction fan and dust bag being permanently built into a part of the container; e.g. a body 1, while the hose 3 and conventional attachments are housed in a lid 13 when not in use, and the container has a discharge opening (not shown) to which a blowing hose may be attached. The normal suction inlet 2 is formed in a hinged end cap 10 of the body 1. In a modification the fan and dust bag are enclosed in a container which when not in use is mounted within a second container holding the attachments.
