Class 64 (iii) [Also in Groups XXVII] A heat-exchanger comprises a cylindrical wall 8 through which heat-exchange takes place, between media such as air and hot-gas and is provided with segments 12 jointly constituting a cylinder extending throughout the interior periphery of said wall and having channels 13 for the passage therethrough of one of the heat-exchanging media (e.g. air), all opposed side walls of the channels two of each defining one channel, extending parallel to one another in each segment. A cylinder 14 may be provided within the segments. Hot gases from a burner flow over the wall 8 which is provided externally with fins 11.
