691,054. Air-heating stoves HLAVKA, F. Jan. 25, 1951 [Jan. 26, 1950], No. 2041/50. Class 64 (i) [Also in Group XI] An air-heating stove comprises a firebox or heating chamber 10 surrounded partly or wholly by a space packed with heat-retaining material, the space being traversed by ducts 12, 13, 14, 21, some of which, 21, carry heated air from the firebox for warming the heat-retaining material, and others, 12, carry air to be heated in its passage to outlets 12b at the tops of the ducts. The air inlets 12a, 13a and 21a are all at the base of the stove, the inlets 21a opening on to the firebox, and the inlets 12a, 13a opening to the atmosphere. The inlets 13a lead through ducts 13 to a hot-air chest 11 above the firebox, from which further ducts 14 lead to outlets 14a. Pipes 22 from the fire-box traverse the chest 11 and lead into a flue 19. The flue contains a damper 20, which can be closed and by-passed by the ducts 21 which enter the flue 19 above the damper. The front of the stove is closed and combustion-air enters by a pipe 16.
