A valve, suitable for application to washing-machines . press driers, &c., comprises a rotary plug 2 provided with a central bore and radial passages 9 ... 11, one of which forms part of an ejector 12, and the arrangement is such that, in the position shown, fluid under pressure entering through a port 3 in the valve casing is directed to a port 6 leading to a container, and, when the plug is rotated anti-clockwise through 90 degrees, the fluid under pressure passes through the ejector to a discharge passage 13 and, at the same time, sucks fluid from the container through the port 6 and discharges it through the passage 13.
