Abstract

745,067. Strap fastenings. LEATHER, W. J. Feb. 8, 1954 [April 15, 1953], No. 10283/53. Class 44. A safety-device for controlling children when walking comprises a wrist band 1 for an adult person, a wrist band 2 for a child and a connecting link 7 permanently attached to one wrist strap 1 and detachably attached to the other wrist band 2. Each band consists of a wide strip having slots 4, 6 through which a narrow fastening strap 3, 5 passes and each narrow strap is fastened to its band by rivets 11 or 12 positioned on each side of a D-loop or ring 8, 10 to fasten the ring to the strap. A swivel hook or clip 9 is attached to the detachable end of the connecting link 7 which is a strap, chain or cord and engages the D-loop or ring 10 of band 2. The link 7 is permanently attached to band 1 by the other D-loop or ring 8. A plurality of bands 2 may be attached by connecting links to a single band 1.
