Abstract
802,607. Control of two motors. BARMER MASCHINENFABRIK A.G. Jan. 7, 1957 [Jan. 7, 1956], No. 618/57. Class 38 (3). In a system for two motors M, N, driving a textile machine, the motor M is started first followed by the motor N after a predetermined time delay. When the motors are to be stopped, the motor N is initially disconnected, and then the motor M after the delay period. As shown, closure of-switch D energizes contactor A to connect motor M to the supply system and, at the same time, a time-delay relay Z is set in operation. At the end of the delay-period, contactor B is energized to start the motor N and the relay Z is rendered inoperative, an auxiliary relay H being energized at this time. A contact hI of the auxiliary relay interrupts one path to the coil of the contactor B, whilst contacts hIV, hIII, respectively interrupt and close alternative circuits for the contactor A. Opening of the switch D de-energizes the contactor B and causes relay Z to start a timing operation at the end of which the contactor A is de-energized.
