Class 43 An expandible ring comprises alternate link sections 12, 14, pivots 24, 26 on one end of a body section 12 engage in slots 46, 48 in a connecting link section 14 and extensions 54, 56 on the section 14 are pressed down to close the ends of the slots. The link sections have a central guide bore 34, 40 through which a spring 58 is threaded. The ends of the spring are secured by a pin 60 which passes through openings in the sides of a link. The openings are closed by suitable means.
