In a modification of the electromagnetic device described in the parent Specification, the heavy current conductor 7 which is divided into two unequal paths a and b embraces an outer branch 1b of the magnetic core. This permits the use of an auxiliary winding 6 on the central core 2 for biasing the device, or for operating it alone if desired.
