Abstract

831,972. Suction cleaners. FISHER & NIELSEN A. S. June 15, 1956 [July 14, 1955], No. 18692/56. Classes 8(1) and 8(2). In a canister type suction cleaner comprising a filter 3, Fig. 1, located between the motor fan unit 2 and a tangential dust-laden air inlet 4 of the cleaner casing 1, the inlet 4 discharges through a funnel-shaped nozzle 12 into a filter bag 6 having its mouth spaced therefrom. As shown the bag 6 is secured at its month to a connection 13, Fig. 2 located along the side of a chamber formed between the bottom 9 of the casing 1 and a detachable bin 10 ; the casing bottom 9 housing an aperture 19 through which the so filtered air passes to the inlet chamber formed by the casing 1. An arcuate wall 16 together with the bottom 9 and the bin 10 forms a conduit surrounding the bag 6.
