850,948. Coating and printing upon paper. TIMSON, E. A. March 19, 1959 [Jan. 21, 1958], No. 2027/58. Class 96. Paper or the like of inferior quality is coated, e.g. with a " pigmented aniline " or with a cellulose-based composition which may dry by absorption into the paper, or may be dried by heat, to improve the printing quality of the paper, and, during the same run of the paper, it is printed upon the coated surface. The coating composition may be applied by spray or by rollers. Certain areas only may be so coated &c., the remainder being uncoated and not printed upon.
