Abstract

<PICT:0925977/III/1> <PICT:0925977/III/2> Apparatus for applying adhesive to a tube 59 comprises a mandrel 24 for receiving the tube 59, and mounted so that it can swing in a horizontal plane, and an adhesive spraying station 34, 35. The spraying station comprises a number of spray nozzles 35 which are supplied with adhesive by a pipe 36 carried by a frame 31-33 and which spray diffused adhesive downwardly over the tube 59 and into a tank 34, a fan 37, connected by a duct 39, to the tank 34, drawing off adhesive particles, fumes &c. from the surrounding air into the tank.
