Abstract

The invention comprises compounds (analgesics) of the general formula: <FORM:0943569/C2/1> (wherein A represents a C1-6 alkylene group, R1 represents a di-(C1-6 alkyl)-amino group and R2 represents a phenyl or (C1-6 alkoxy)-phenyl group and acid addition salts thereof, and their preparation by reacting a 2-[di-(C1-6 alkyl)-aminoC1-6 alkylamino]-5-nitroaniline with mandelic or a (C1-6 alkoxy) mandelic acid or with a (C1-6 alkoxy) mandelic acid imino ether (e.g. as the hydrochloride).
