Abstract

The invention comprises the compound 1-[p-(b -diethylaminoethyoxy)-phenyl]-1-(p-tolyl) -2-(p-chlorophenyl)-ethane of the formula: <FORM:0945864/C2/1> and its preparation by hydrogenation of the corresponding 1,1,2-trisubstituted ethylene. The hydrochloride is also described. Administration of the above compound orally (tablets, capsules) and parenterally in the treatment of arteriosclerosis and to depress blood cholesterol is mentioned. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 879,792.
