Abstract
954,069. Extruding plastic material; tubular film extrusion nozzles. MULTIFOL PATENTVERWERTUNGS A.G. Feb. 23, 1961 [Feb. 24, 1960], No. 6741/61. Headings B5A and B5B. In a process for producing foamed plastic material with covering films of thermoplastic materials on either side an expandable plastic material is extruded through a die aperture of an extrusion head, the covering films being extruded as contiguous layers, the three layers being combined either as or before they emerge. In an extrusion head for the manufacture of an inflatable tube, e.g. of polyethylene, polyvinylchloride, polystyrene, polyurethanes &c. in accordance with the above process, an expandable plastic material is extruded through an annular aperture 2 and covering thermoplastic films through concentric apertures 1, 3. A central duct 10 supplies pressure gas to inflate the tube so formed.
