Abstract

969,638. Surgical pads. KIMBERLYCLARK CORPORATION. June 20, 1961 [June 22, 1960], No. 22268/61. Heading A5R. [Also in Division D1] A fibrous material for use in absorbent bandages &c. comprises elongated composite macrofibres composed of a multiplicity of twisted and inter-twined relatively short component fibres. Shown is a sanitary napkin comprising a wrapper 42 of fluid-pervious material enclosing a pad comprising outer layers 44 of cellulose wadding, intermediate layer 46 of macrofibres and a central layer 48 of waxed tissue to serve as a baffle.
