992,206. Container caps. THURGER BOLLE (SUCCESSORS) Ltd. Feb. 17, 1964 [May 25, 1963; Oct. 14, 1963], No. 6537/64. Heading B8T. A cap for enclosing a container opening comprises a skirt 6 of flexible material, having an internal circumferential projection 7 at its lower end engaging an annular surface 5 around the container opening, a cup-shaped member 11 within the skirt so that when it is depressed the projection is disengaged and the cap removed, and a visual means of indicating that the cap has been removed. In Fig. 1 this means is provided when a foil 16 is torn while making the depression; and axially extending grooves around the member 11 communicating with the space 13 are provided to relieve excess pressure in the cap. In a further embodiment a flange interconnecting the tops of the skirt and cupshaped member is torn; while in the embodiment of Fig. 4 projections 21 on the member 11 lock in a groove 32 in the skirt when the member is depressed, preventing the return of the member to its original position.
