a,I3bとなり連続的にはITとなる、また磁気テープ1か
らの離脱部Cでの衝撃によって発生する磁気テープ1の
振動は各々第3図に示すO2a,O2b,O3a,O3bとなり連続的
にはOTとなる。この時の磁気テープの波長はλであり、
磁気テープ1のオーバーラップa(aI+aO)は振動波長
λの0.5倍に相当する量に設定しているので、突入部B
による磁気テープ振動ITと離脱部Cによる磁気テープ振
動OTの振動波形には第4図に示すように0.5×λの位相
ずれがある。従って突入部Bによる磁気テープ振動ITの
−成分と離脱部Cによる磁気テープ振動OTの+成分がキ
ャンセルされて総合的な磁気テープ振動波形は第4図T
のようになり、実質的な磁気テープ振動を減少させる事
ができる。また実験上、突入部Bによる磁気テープ振動
は−成分が大きく離脱部Cによる磁気テープ振動は+成
分が大きい傾向にあるため、キャンセルによる振動減少
効果はより大きくなる。以上の構成と動作により、磁気
テープ振動による回転ヘッドと磁気テープの相対速度の
変化が殆ど発生せず、回転ヘット数の異なるVTR間の互
換再生時にも、再生画面に曲がりや色ずれが全く起こら
