Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the adhesion force between a conductive substance layer and a support material and a magnetic layer to lower the surface resistance of the magnetic layer by using a specific resin to provide the conductive substance layer, where a specific carbon black is included, between the support material consisting of polyester and the magnetic layer.
CONSTITUTION: The carbon black of a surface area over 700m2/g, an oil absorption quantity over 300ml(DBP)/100g and a particle diameter below 30mμ and the applied liquid which is obtained by dispersing a polyester, which includes terephthalic acid, if an approximately 10000W20000 molecular weight in cyclohexane, etc., are applied between a support material of a polyethylene terephthalate film or sheet and a magnetic layer and are dried to form a conductive substance layer. The carbon black of a 5W30wt part is used for 100 of polyester resin and the carbon black. As a result, a magnetic recording medium can be obtained which is not exfoliated in a using time and has a strong adhesion force and a small surface resistance and, consequently, is difficult to charge.
